To help stand out from the other child care providers a family is interviewing, make sure you have thoroughly reviewed the job description so you can speak directly to the family's needs and anticipate questions they may have. You should arrive a little early and bring extra copies of your resume and the certifications you're earned. Expect the family to ask detailed questions about how you will act in specific situations you will find yourself in while caring for their children. Don't be shy about asking for clarification if you don't understand a question or have questions for the family. It's just as important that you're comfortable working for the family as they are having you work for them.
